summer play

What is it?

We bring together a cast of young people from a diversity of cultural backgrounds, with common interests, ability, and a commitment to drama. Participants are aged between 10 and 14. The company works with the cast over a period of two months developing and harnessing acting skills and creating a wonderfully fun and inclusive group atmosphere. We are able offer the participants the opportunity to work on other aspects of drama eg: mask making, costume making, filming and music production. Finally, we work with 9 volunteers on this project aged between 14 and 17.

Learning Outcomes:

  • To build artistic, problem solving and expressive skills

  • To encourage positive bonds and an increased ability to work with a diverse set of people

  • To build confidence with self assurance arising from one’s own abilities or qualities

  • To develop new skills in the area of theatre, naturally enhancing prospects for employment.
