What is it?

Little Red Kettle works in Centres in areas deemed disadvantaged or marginalised with groups of 10 - 20 participants within the age range of 10 to 24. We offer a film course and a play-writing and performance course and we have recently introduced LRK Creative Crafts. It is a hugely beneficial programme that gives young people an alternative means of expressing themselves outside of the confines of school and home. We introduce them to the world of performance, drama games and theatre production.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Youth development and Socialisation skills

  • Encourages participants to challenge and question social stereotyping through participation in a group performance with people from varying backgrounds

  • Facilitates the participant’s understanding of how one’s identity is informed through social surroundings i.e. place, gender, race, history, nationality, abilities, ethnicity and class.
