volunteer programme
Little Red Kettle works with children and young people in developing their volunteering experience within the organisation. Youth volunteers participate in a range of areas and assist LRK with its many productions throughout the year. As LRK work encompasses a range of activities, volunteers have the opportunity to work in costume design, stage management, production, and as support to the Child Liaison team. LRK offers its volunteers a full learning experience where they will learn the skills and abilities necessary for working in a theatrical environment.
Volunteers will have the opportunity to work with industry professionals who act as mentors in whichever area our volunteers decide to go into.
References can also be provided for those who participate.
Volunteers are welcomed from the age of 16 years, no experience necessary, Garda Vetting applies to all volunteers.

Create
We encourage our volunteers to use skills from other parts of their lives to help our productions. We foster independent thinking and self-motivated work in young people.
Educate
We pair our volunteers with experts who seek to enrich their volunteering experience by pairing expertise with fun. Our volunteers gain experience in areas such as stage management, costume design, set design, prop-making and youth work.
Team Play
Our volunteers get a taste of the reality of working in a theatre environment. The experience prepares them for any career that they choose while also develops relationships with other young adults and theatre professionals that will last down the line.
